OMG - these guys hit you with enormous bogus charges. I had a loan modification in place with my previous lender.

Caliber bought the loan and immediately hit me with expensive charges (who ever heard of weekly drive by home inspections at $250 each). They denied that I had a trial loan modification in place and immediately went for foreclosure. I bailed out the loan but at the expense of many unsubstantiated charges and expenses. These guys are a name change of the old vericrest financial predatory lenders (google them - you may find thousands of horror stories).

If your loan is bought out by them your troubles are about to begin. RUN - RUN - RUN!!!!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Preferred solution: sell your mortgages to reputable lenders.

They bought my loan after wells fargo put me in a trial modification. They won't honor any of the terms that were offered.

They also want to change interest to monthly accrual, where u pay interest on prinicple and interest and will cost so much more. My attorney says they are incorrigible and we are going to litigation but don't know what the outcome will be.

File a complaint with the FTC!! We did and it got results after months and months of dealing with this questionable company.

Additionally, Caliber has one of the worst if not the worst customer ratings possible. However, Caliber's ratings on websites that allow "membership" have miraculously improved thus adding to the suspicion that this "financial institution" is attempting to limit the damage. Filing with the FTC was an easy process that brought quick results. Apparently, the Feds are the only agency Caliber "stands down' to.

With enough complaints the FTC should investigate Caliber. Hopefully sooner than later.
