Our insurance company agreed that our home needed a new roof. They sent a check made out to us and our mortgage company. I thought that was odd, maybe this only happens in Georgia, but I called and got instructions on an overnight address to send the check, and a regular address. I got the fax number so I could have the appraisers report faxed to them as they asked. I was told they would send the check back regular mail after they signed it unless I enclosed a return overnight envelope, which I did. I spent $25.50 to overnight the check to them on December 31, 2014. I knew they would be closed on New Years but expected them to be right back with it the day after. I got nothing on Jan 2nd or 5th. (You are dealing with an insurance "department" in Caliber Home Loans).

When I called the first time the person on the phone said it went out overnight on the 3rd (Saturday? Really?)

When I called the second time the new story was that the $6900.00 check had gone out regular mail because I had them as the sender and us as the recievor on the form. It was supposed to be from us to us. That being the case one would think that would have mentioned that in the detailed instuctions. Secondly you would think they could have called to have us fax or email permission to alter the form or make out a new one with our info. But no, heck it is only $6900.00. The roofers already installed the roof last Tuesday. Ohio to Georgia does not take that long. Nothing on the 7th, 8th, etc. On Friday we got some 8X11 packet from them that was NOT the check and did not include the check. It had a postmark of the 6th and it arrived on the 9th. That being the case, how has something allegedly mailed on the 5th, day before that, failed to arrive. It also failed to arrive on Sat the 10th. I am waiting for todays mail. They have misappropriated our insurance check. For all I know it is sitting on someone's desk or fell in a wastebasket by the postage machine. Totally unsatisfactory. Thanks Bank South for selling our loan to

these people. Thanks so much

I am having the same problem in Florida as we have been receiving all these small checks that want cover a single repair and we have been tossed around to three different adjusters that when I found out the truth they had quit. We also have to go through the same hurdles of every check must go to them from ASI Inc before it can be deposited.

I feel a civil suit should be brought up on them as our house has more damage on the interior ceilings based on lack of payments.

Our mortgage was purchased from Country Wide without our knowledge until it had already happened.

We also never got any acknowledgement of this in writing at all. If you would like to converse further on the subject my email is keith_inman@***.net.
